CMEC Leaders Attend “China for the World” Belt & Road Forum

On November 2, the 2017 “China for the World” Belt & Road Forum, co-hosted by GE and Caixin Media, was held at China National Convention Center in Beijing. Nearly 1,000 EPC industrial leaders from both home and abroad, including Chinese EPC company representatives, policy makers, financial institutions and project owners, gathered together at the forum. SINOMACH Chairman Ren Hongbin, SINOMACH Vice President Xie Biao, CMEC President Zhang Chun, CMEC Vice President Fang Yanshui, and Assistant President Li Baolin attended the forum.

According to the agenda, Zhang and Fang made a keynote speech at the Middle East Session and the Africa Session, respectively. The leaders made dialogues on social economy, cross-cultural communications, policy difference, market outlook, challenges and opportunities. In addition, they talked about the local market situation and CMEC's business performance in local regions.

After the forum, the leaders attended the bilateral talks between GE and SINOMACH and the ceremony for signing the EPC contract for the 90MW gas-turbine power plant project in Apapa Port, Nigeria.
