Supporting Power Transmission Project of Congo’s Liouesso Hydropower Station Passes Final Acceptance

On May 27, 2017, the supporting power transmission project of Liouesso Hydropower Station in the Republic of Congo passed final acceptance. At the ceremony of final acceptance held on May 29, President, Prime Minister and Speaker of the Republic of Congo, Minister of Spatial Planning and Major Projects and Minister of Water Conservation and Energy of the Republic of Congo, the Ambassador of China to the Republic of Congo and local media. Representatives of the parties affirmed the performance of CMEC. 

The supporting power transmission project of Liouesso Hydropower Station, kicking off on December 25, 2012, includes Liouesso-Ouesso 74-km 110kV transmission line, 85-km 30kV transmission line, one 110kV substation and four 30kV substations.

The successful implementation of the project has greatly improved the power transmission in the northern region of the Republic of Congo, contributed to the economic development and living standards, and laid a solid foundation for CMEC to further expand its energy and power market in the Republic of Congo.
