On the evening of December 30, 2014, at the annual commendation meeting of Mongolian Ministry of Energy, the CMEC-contracted Amgalan Heating Station 3X116MW project was granted the "2014 Award for Best Energy Infrastructure in Mongolia” together with the 50MW capacity expansion project of Mongolian Ulaanbaatar 3rd Power Plant and the 100MW capacity expansion project of Mongolian Ulaanbaatar 4th Power Plant. The newly-appointed energy minister, as well as vice energy minister, state secretary general and chairman of the electricity regulatory commission of the country attended the ceremony and presented the award to the project.

Amgalan Heating Station is located at the frigid area of the Mongolian Plateau, with great difficulties in construction and engineering management due to the harsh climatic conditions. For this reason, the project was managed in an innovative way, namely, it was subcontracted directly to local labors who are familiar with local environment, saving capital and human costs and making a firm step to explore and promote local management model of engineering projects. CMEC has completed nearly 90% of the work of civil engineering and installation with high quality in the construction period in 2013 and 2014 that lasts ten and a half months. The project was highly praised by the Ministry of Energy of Mongolia due to its fast progress and high quality.

In 2015, we will continue to provide Mongolian customers with high-quality services and strive to build up the positive image and brand of CMEC in the world!
